Solar power, with a backup for cloudy days

Place the adjustable solar panel where it receives direct sunlight. USB charging provides a backup during extended cloudy periods. The USB charging cable is not included.

When fully charged under suitable conditions, runtime is up to approximately 8 hours. Sunlight, brightness and the selected mode affect how long the lights run.

Set the mood from your remote

Switch the lights on or off, choose 25%, 50%, 75% or 100% brightness, and select steady, breathing or flashing modes. The included remote also provides timing and effect-speed controls.

Questions before you order

Do these need mains power?

No mains connection is needed for solar operation. USB backup charging is available.

Will they run all night in winter?

Runtime is not guaranteed. Shorter days, shade and cloudy weather can reduce solar charging. Lower brightness or USB backup can help when charging conditions are limited.

Can I use them outdoors?

The lights are IP65-rated for outdoor use. Secure the installation and follow the supplied product instructions.

Choose your pack for the space you want to light

Each complete set has a 15m solar festoon string, 15 warm white bulbs and one spare bulb. Choose one set for a smaller patio or a single run along a pergola. Two or four sets let you arrange lighting in several areas or create multiple runs across a larger entertaining space. Measure the route before ordering and plan a sunny position for each solar panel.

A multi-pack contains complete sets. Plan each set as a separate installation rather than assuming the strings can be electrically joined together. Leave suitable clearance above walkways and support the cable with appropriate mounting points.

Solar charging and USB backup

The separate panel gives you flexibility to place the lights where you want the glow while keeping the panel where it receives direct sunlight. Avoid locations shaded by roofs, dense trees or fences for most of the day. Keep the panel clean so dust and leaves do not block daylight.

USB charging provides a backup when available sunshine is limited. Charge the set before first use and follow the supplied connection instructions. Night-time operation depends on sunlight, season, charge level, brightness and the selected timer; a sunny-day result should not be treated as a guaranteed winter runtime.

Set the light to suit your evening

The included remote lets you change brightness, choose the lighting effect and set a timer without walking to the panel. Use a steady setting for a relaxed outdoor meal, or select another mode for a decorative effect. Lower brightness can help preserve the available charge. Test your preferred settings after dark before an event.

Installation and routine care

Lay out the cable before hanging it and check that the panel can reach its intended location. Use suitable hooks or supports and avoid pulling on bulbs or sockets. The IP65 rating provides weather resistance for normal outdoor use; it does not make the set suitable for submersion.

Switch the set off before changing a bulb and use the correct compatible replacement. Check the cable, connectors and mounting points periodically. Decorative festoon lighting adds ambience; use suitable additional lighting wherever clear visibility is essential.
